Creativity

Creativity.  Are you creative?  Sometimes I am.  I like it.  Being creative.  Thinking of new ways.  Fun ways to be.  To do.  I helped at my niece's baby shower.  The theme was Sesame Street.  Putting together the vegetable and fruit plates.  It became a party.  While getting ready for the party.  I LOVE simple kinds of fun.

Running

I started running last year.  August 2012.  Kelly encouraged me.  She went before me.  Trying.  Succeeding.  I started slow.  1 minute run.  3 minutes walk.  Maybe 8 times.  Then 10.  Each week I did better.  I felt better.  This is a picture of Kelly and I at the completion of our 5K training.  We got lots of help from Fleet Feet.  In Tucson.  Pete and Jeanne.  Jeanne sends the best emails.  They make me know I can.  I want to.  I ran a 10K today.  My second 10K.  I train with Sheri.  She is super supportive.  She makes a difference in my week.  Running together.  She ran today's 10K too.  My first 5K September 15,  2012.  With Kelly.  Interval running.  My first 10K January 26, 2013 with Sheri and my brother.  I like running.  Interval running.  I feel happy.  I am grateful.  I know I am healthy.  Healthier.  Before trying I could not run.   Now I run and I think it is super duper fun.

Agency

I am on a trip.  I am here on earth.  Temporarily.  This world is not my home.  Heavenly Father gave me a metaphorical suitcase before I left.  He knew what I would need.  He placed many things carefully in my suitcase.  In your suitcase.  Many gifts.  Physical body.  Intelligence.  Experiences.  Trials.  The Holy Ghost.  The ability to learn.  To grow.  To change.  To feel joy.  To know pain.  A Savior.  The Gospel.  There are plenty more.  One of the greatest gifts in our suitcase is Agency.  From God.  To Choose.  Between right and wrong.  Between good and evil.  Our Father knew it was important.  For our learning.  Our growth.  He knew.  To become like Him we needed this gift.  And maybe even more important.  The consequences of having this gift.  
He knew this was one of His greatest gifts.

Last Lecture

A book worth remembering.  "The Last Lecture" by Randy Pausch (1960-2008).  Randy was dying.  He shared.  He planned.  He lived a life worth living.  Excellent book.  Life changing lecture.  A 2008 blog that changed people.  Gave hope.  Randy Pausch made a huge difference.  He said good bye in a big real way.
